My name is Natasha Retnasingam and I am a third year student at King’s College London studying French and Management BA (Hons). My extensive experience in Human Resources has led me to have a profound interest in the field.
I am currently the Head of Human Resources at Pallihill Group and at King’s Business Club. In both my roles, I lead the entire recruitment process and am responsible in optimising team productivity as well as responding to all HR related inquiries.
Further to this, during my 6-week Human Resources Internship at The Varkey Foundation, a private family philanthropic foundation with global education interests, I worked on compiling work certificates (employment termination certificates), and salary certificates for all staff whose contracts had terminated at Gems World Academy Switzerland. Additionally, I dealt with all day-to-day staff inquiries and organised induction programmes for new staff joining the Foundation to ensure their induction was smooth and comfortable. This array of work has allowed me to gain a true understanding of Human Resources and the skills and work involved, as well as how to manage tasks and provide regular support for all staff.
I enjoy challenging myself academically and exploring all aspects of business management in order to gain a greater insight into the business world. I am very much a people’s person and love hearing about different experiences and journeys, making Human Resources the perfect career for me. I have confidence that my extensive experience in Human Resources and ability to build relationships will allow me to be extremely successful in the future.
