Departments
Forming our committee are departments which exist to enhance our delivery of education and opportunity to our members.
Executive
Leadership of the committee is comprised of the President, Vice President and their heads of departments. They drive the society and determine its direction each academic year. This year, they are committed to reorganising the structure and administration of the committee, ensuring equality among the committee and the society as a whole, and exploring greater avenues of opportunities to offer. In doing so they hope to sustain the growth of the society while paving the fresh concrete foundations for future generations of the committee.

In 2019, this included the Finance 101 event that saw the participation of a panel of interns and industry professionals from some of the most prolific financial organisations of the world. This event saw over 200 attendees from all backgrounds and universities. To learn more about this event, please visit its project report page.
In addition, the department runs annual professional applications workshops that cater to students by teaching them how to navigate the corporate landscape and how to tailor their applications to maximise their success. To learn more about this project, please visit its project report page.

Publications
Publications
The Publication's department aims to harbour the creative and academic insights of students, academics, and professionals into a single digital hub.
The department is responsible for the King's Business Review, a homegrown online publications platform that stimulates the exchange and generation of ideas and helps to inspire the next generation.
The platform seeks to stimulate intellectual discussion, like a modern lyceum, on topics including but not limited to finance, politics, technology, art and more.
Marketing
We are a strategic team that is key to enabling the delivery of all events and activities, and are responsible for the promotion and reinforcement of the society. The Marketing Team aims to gain the attention of key potential audiences and partners, and strives to maintain relationships with them, while being committed to delivering the best possible experience for our members and our committee.
For the 2019 academic year, we have been instrumental in executing the rebranding initiative, and the continued growth of all our social media platforms. Furthermore, in line with this year's committee objectives, we strive to open up opportunities to faculties beyond the Business School as well as reinforcing equality goals among our members.

Human Resources
Human Resources
The Human Resources (HR) Department is in charge of key society functions such as the recruitment and management of new committee members, monitoring and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and more. This department is unique and sets a new benchmark in the accumulation of work experience by giving committee members direct hands-on experience with managing a diverse and dynamic team.
Furthermore, the department is involved in the execution of HR-related events. These include informative events and seminars given by key industry leaders and academics who practice and give students insights into the latest theories and advice in the field of HR.
Former Committees
Since our founding in 2008 as the KCL Business Club (KCLBC), we have accumulated many generations of committees who committed much of their time and effort into maintaining and growing the society into its current form. We honour and recognise their contributions as well as the achievements which they have attained during and after their time on the committee.

Application Process
Information on how we choose our committee, and the opportunities we have available.
The past, present, and future committee are all part of the same family; each being shaped by similar experiences of tribulation and success. We welcome all King’s College London students to join us on this journey to help make an impact on the student body and beyond.
Non-Executive Committee
All applications for committee positions at King’s Business Club will require the submission of an application form. Candidates will be asked to submit answers to a set of evaluative questions alongside their cover letter and CV.
Our human resources department will take one to two weeks to assess the applications before offering successful candidates the opportunity to undertake the next stage of the application process. Applications will require at least one interview, however some positions may require the submission of a test.
An extensive process is necessary due the breadth of applications which we receive, and enable us to best judge each candidate on their merits. All applications will be presented with an opportunity to receive constructive feedback to ensure that all candidates benefit from the experience.
Successful candidates are offered their desired position within the non-executive committee with a given probationary period and term limit, as defined within the constitution.
Executive Committee
In order to join the executive committee, all applicants are required to submit a proposal of their departmental vision which outlines their provisional plan upon undertaking the executive role. Candidates are also required to undertake at least one interview consisting of the electoral board as defined in the constitution.
In most cases, executive positions can only be achieved by pre-existing members of the committee. However, external recruitment opportunities may be offered in rare instances. In these circumstances, prospective applicants must also submit the baseline application requirements as for a non-executive position.
During a normal executive election cycle, committee members are presented with an opportunity to display their merits through an extensive number of projects during the Purdah period, between January and February. Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates run as pairs and are elected by their electoral board in February. While other executive positions are elected in March. However, non-executives may also be appointed as successors during the operational year as a result of an executive resignation or unrenewed term.
Prior to 2017, the President was elected by a board consisting of every former President. This required an individual interview and confirmation with each.
Further details on the organisational structure of the committee, the application process, and application criteria can be found in the constitution.
