Finance Associate Wanted

Through many years, King’s Business Club (KBC) has maintained its reputation as the premier student business and finance society both at King’s College London and throughout the United Kingdom. KBC has helped students from a plethora of academic backgrounds come together and gain knowledge about the most recent developments in a diverse range of industries. We are therefore honoured to present a fresh new opportunity for you to create value for everyone at King’s!

We are currently looking for three senior associates for King’s Business Club’s Finance Department.

Finance Public Relations Associate, Finance Research Associate and the Finance Events Associate.

Although associates will not be limited to their own roles, each associate will have their own distinct responsibilities.

The Public Relations Associate will be responsible for all communicative aspects of the Finance Department. They will be the main point of contact between all of Finance Department’s internal and external stakeholders. 

The responsibilities of the Public Relations Associate includes:

  • Managing the finance department’s contribution in KBR and all finance related publications.
  • Liaising with King’s Business Club’s marketing department on social media engagements for the finance department.
  • Overseeing the finance department’s corporate, collegiate, alumni and departmental relationships.
  • Collaborating with events associates on organizing social events.
  • Actively seek out potential collaborators of value for the finance department.

Research associates are responsible for carrying out all internal and external research projects across the department. The research division will consist of two parts – KBR Analyst and Departmental Analyst. The former collaborates with the KBR team on all finance related publications, whilst the latter collects relevant data on members and oversees the progression of the finance department. 

The responsibilities of the Research Associate includes:

  • Managing the finance department’s contribution in KBR and all finance related publications.
  • Leading research projects alongside the finance department’s career communities.
  • Conducting research on student preferences on event topics, themes and etc.
  • Carrying out internal performance reviews and report on findings.
  • Evaluating and tracking the Finance department’s programs, progress and goals.

Events Associate is responsible for all events related programs of the finance department. Although there will be multiple stakeholders in the formation of an event, the events associate would be the de facto leader and thus, would be responsible for meeting deadlines and overseeing all events-related goals.

The responsibilities of the Events Associate includes:

  • Managing the ideation and execution of the finance department’s events.
  • Collaborating with KBC’s marketing department to promote the finance department’s events.
  • Collaborating with the relations associate on managing invited guests.
  • Managing the logistical needs of event-day preparations.
  • Collaborate with research associate with all post-event evaluations and report on findings.
