Alberto Gallo: The Pursuit of Happiness
“It all started with a dream…”

In collaboration with the King’s Business School, KCL Business Club was delighted to host investor Alberto Gallo – Portfolio Manager for the Algebris Macro Credit Fund and Head of Macro Strategies at Algebris Investments – to Bush House for an amazing talk on the future of markets, monetary policy and how to fix our financial system.

Alberto Gallo is a London-based fund manager at Algebris Investments, the financials-focused investment boutique with $12bn in assets under management. He runs a $1bn macro fund investing in global bonds and equities. Prior to becoming an investor, Mr. Gallo has covered a number of research positions at Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, Goldman Sachs and RBS, where he was Head of Global Macro Credit Research prior to joining Algebris. He is a member of external expert panels at the ECB and ESMA, and a frequent contributor on the Financial Times and the World Economic Forum, as well as a regular guest on Bloomberg. Mr Gallo holds a MSc in Economics cum laude from Bocconi University, where he is a guest lecturer, and is a CFA charterholder. Prior to that, he served in the navy at the “F. Morosini” naval college.

The event saw a fully packed Bush House auditorium, which seats 395 guests, bringing together students, academics, and industry professionals in our largest keynote event that semester. The quality of the event and the video represents the full package available to prospective speakers at the King’s Business Club.

The event was recorded and edited in its entirety, and can be watched here.
