As the 2021 interregnum period comes to a close, I would first like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the work of President-Elect Quan Tan in the capacity of acting President during this summer season. It is, therefore, my absolute pleasure to announce that the 14th President of King’s Business Club shall be Aqib Hossain.

Dear all,

I am very grateful and honored to be offered the position of President at a society as prestigious as King’s Business Club. It is my utmost pleasure to continue the legacy of London’s largest business and finance society. A long line of great Presidents has nurtured a community that empowers and educates students, which I am delighted to be continuing.

As President, I understand my duty to serve our society while making the wellbeing of our association and service to our student community my priorities. As the world continues to transition back to everyday life, our core values remain the same: to inspire, to educate, and to connect. Hence, for the upcoming year, I will concentrate on the aforementioned pillars:

  1. To inspire: I will re-establish KBC as a platform for information-seeking. KBC is aiming in the forthcoming months to introduce its app through our new Technology Department, thereby centralizing all events, research, and information for the student community on one platform.
  2. To educate: By introducing our new Departments – Law and Technology – I am expanding our engagement across diverse fields and industries. Likewise, we will offer experiences with real-life clients through our projects – King’s Capital and King’s Consulting.
  3. To connect: My goal is to increase internal and external social events. Similarly, I endeavor to increase students’ networking opportunities and progress student employability at KCL through enhanced corporate relations.

As the succeeding President, I am beyond proud to lead and work together with such an inspiring and dedicated team throughout the following year. I want to thank Quan, Richard, and Daniel for their service to our community and for extending their support to me. You will always be part of our KBC family. Here’s to an excellent year.

All the best,

Aqib Hossain
President 2021/22
