Do you have an interest in working in the financial industry?

KCLIC (King’s College London Investment Club) in partnership with KCLBC (King’s College London Business Club) will be running a TWO-DAY WORKSHOP on LBO Valuations – Leveraged Buyouts.

During this exciting and informative two-day workshop, you’ll be able to get to grips with the one of the fundamental valuation techniques that private equity firms use to acquire companies and/or gain a controlling interest in a company’s equity.

Paula Gomez, Director of modelAndum, will be leading the workshops. She has had significant experience in the financial industry, having worked with several major investment banks and private equity firms. She currently runs a company that specializes in providing a range of products to assist both students and professionals in the Private Equity and Venture Capitalism industry.

This is not an event to miss, not just if you’re new to Finance and Investment, but also if you are an experienced individual. LBO valuation methods are not something taught on a standard accounting syllabus at KCL: giving you an insight into the world of private equity firms, and giving you an edge over many other thousands of undergraduate applicants wanting to get a job in the financial industry. We emphasise again that this workshop will be relevant to those with little or no financial background, as Paula has very kindly agreed to spend the entire of Session 1 explaining the basics of financial statements and making modeling assumptions.

Each workshop lasts for two hours; they will be hosted on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th of February.

**Please Note** It is a requirement that you attend with a device capable of manipulating spreadsheets – i.e. a Laptop.
