King’s Business Club is proud to present the opportunity to host Rita Kakati Shah to talk about her career journey from being a Mathematics and Management student at King’s to her current role.
Rita Kakati Shah is an award-winning, globally recognised gender and diversity leader. She is strategist, speaker and advisor to Fortune 500 companies, on top of being Founder and CEO of Uma – an international platform that empowers women returning to work.
During her time at King’s, she was a Summer Analyst on the equities trading floor at Goldman Sachs, which led to the start of a 10-year career at the firm after she graduated. She then transitioned into the healthcare industry and led business development for a CNS clinical trials service provider. After which she took a career break to raise her children, only to subsequently witness the difficulties faced when resuming a professional career.
Her solution was to start her own business, Uma, where she works to empower individuals looking to return to work after a career break.
