Join us and CEO, James Lo, for a fireside chat about entrepreneurship and careers. James is an ex-venture capitalist and strategy consultant. Now, he is the founder at an award winning startup – Mana. His early career involved learning how companies are built – and how they are not. Previously, James has advised technology companies like Uber on how to grow sustainably at SoftBank Vision Fund. Additionally, he has advised a diverse range of clients on growth strategy as a consultant at McKinsey. James is a former youth charity exec and pro-democracy activist who has supported NGOs like UNICEF. He is also a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and Sigma Squared.
What is Mana?
Mana is a creative community that helps skilled people build a revenue stream. It comes from a team with a vast range of experience at companies like Apple, YouTube and Monzo. First, build a page and post your own content at prices you decide. Second, choose a range of services, from live classes to free workshops. Then, add a Mana link to your social media bio to funnel your audience to your profile. As a result, James and the team empower aspirational people to reach their dreams. For example, this may be navigating what you want to do. Finally, it could be securing your dream job, or starting your own company. Hence, the vision is to ensure everyone can make a living by sharing their passion. Creators range from students looking for a side hustle to professional coaches and influencers. To sum up, everyone has something to offer through Mana.
Attend Mana Fireside Chat: Corporate to Startup on the 15th of November, at 6:30pm. Sign up here and share your CV with an award-winning startup. This event is exclusive to King’s Business Club.
