Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a social entrepreneur? Interested in blockchain but fuzzy on the details? Need practice pitching an idea?
The LSE Entrepreneurs Society and London Blockchain Labs are proud to announce LSE’s first Social Innovation Blockchain Hackathon (SIBH). Our mission is to provide aspiring social entrepreneurs with a better understanding of blockchain technology and a platform to innovate, collaborate, and present your great ideas to a panel of expert judges.
While we welcome computer scientists, this is not your traditional hackathon and no coding will be required. You’re not even required to have a clear idea of the problem you want to solve. We are looking for creative, passionate students who want to interactively learn more about blockchain and social entrepreneurship!
After attending a morning workshop on blockchain technology, you will randomly be assigned two team members who you will work with for the remainder of the day. Over the course of the next 8 hours, your team will come up with a creative solution to a social problem incorporating blockchain technology. Then, your team will present to a panel of blockchain and social entrepreneurship experts for a chance to win prize money, a London Blockchain Labs interview, notoriety among our corporate sponsors, and more!
The Social Innovation Blockchain Hackathon will be held at The Collective Old Oak on Saturday, March 9th, 2019.
