The Investment Banking 101 event has now ended, if you would like to find out more about the outcome of the event, please visit our project page.

King’s Business Club in collaboration with the popular finance page on Instagram, IBD Events are organising a finance event open to students and graduates all across and around London. The planned event will have two panel discussions followed by Q/A and a casual networking session. The first panel discussion will be with career-focused students that have managed to make a way into the industry by securing grad schemes while meticulously managing their academics, society engagements and internships simultaneously. Students on our panel will be from universities such as Cambridge, London School of Economics and King’s College London that have converted their summer internships at places like Rothschild, Evercore, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan into full-time graduate roles. The second discussion will be with finance professionals across different institutions relating to jobs in investment banking, private equity, research, wealth management, hedge funds etc. For this panel, we have professionals across Tyndaris, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, HSBC and Barclays. At the end of the panel discussion, the floor will be open for casual chit-chatting with the panelists and other attendees.

Come to this event and learn about the varied jobs at finance and demystify the different roles available in the industry by learning from people’s experiences and by engaging one-to-one with the professionals themselves. No matter what point of your career you are in, there is always something to learn and an event like this is definitely going to help you gain that extra insight into the sector. Also, you will be able to meet and make lasting connections with hundreds of motivated students and graduates like yourself!

Bush House is a Grade II listed building located within the Strand Campus at King's College London. It was originally conceived as a major new trade center by American industrialist Irving T. Bush, and a centrepiece to the Kingsway and Aldwych redevelopment project of the early 20s.

Its construction commenced in 1924 and by 1929 Bush House was already declared the "most expensive building in the world", construction finished in 1935. Several years following its completion, Bush House served as the headquarters of the BBC World Service. Broadcasting from Bush House lasted for 70 years, from winter 1941 to summer 2012.
