It is with great regret that the Amplify Trading simulation events this weekend will need to be postponed due to the Coronavirus. The UK government has advised against large public gatherings and with a sold out event with nearly 300 students taking part in this weekend, it is in everyone’s health interest to postpone.

This is a great frustration to us as we were overwhelmed with the enthusiasm for the event, and were very much looking forward to meeting you. We have spoken with UIBS co-ordinators and have agreed to deliver the weekend again this coming October, for which your registration will of course be valid.

However if you would not be interested please email Anya Smyth on a.smyth@amplifytrading.com and she will of course process accordingly. We do understand in some cases travel may have been booked and although nor Amplify Trading nor UIBS Team would be responsible for this cost we hope the refunds or cancelations can be made.

If we do not hear from you we will move your registration to the October weekend and will send a confirmation email shortly.

We are very excited to announce that the 2020 edition of the UK’s largest and most prestigious finance competition, the UK Investment Banking Series (UIBS) is being hosted by us in collaboration with Amplify Trading and Morgan Stanley. Compete against the UK’s best students to prove your abilities in Equity Capital Markets and S&T. Past competitors have gone to land exceptional jobs in the City.

On Day 1, participants get to take part in an IPO Simulation, putting you in charge of an Equity Capital Markets desk, while Day 2 will focus on a Sales & Trading Simulation, allowing you to experience both buy and sell-side perspectives. Feel free to attend either one or both days.

In the morning you undergo the practical training that Amplify provides for large financial institutions such as Citibank, Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas. In the afternoon you will prove your skillsets during an intense 4-hour market simulation. If you perform exceptionally well, Amplify will forward your profile to Morgan Stanley for the 2021 hiring cycle.
